Sathya Invitational Veteran's Hockey 9's Charity Tournament–April 1st 2017, Kuala Lumpur

Sathya Hockey Club (SHC) in collaboration with Persatuan Keba jikan Arutperunjothi Margam, Klang, Selangor (PKAM) will be organizing the Sathya Invitational 9’s Veterans Hockey tournament on 1st April 2017 at Tun Razak Hockey Stadium, Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur. Participants includes teams from Melbourne Australia and some notable Veteran teams within the country.

A common passion for hockey was the inspiration behind the formation of SHC. Formed in 1991 by a group of University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Undergraduates, they steadfastly kept their hockey program going for 26 years, which led to the decision to stage an anniversary tournament in year 2016, marking its Silver Jubilee Anniversary. SHC has about 30players of whom 15 to 20 are active and attend weekly friendly matches staged on a rotation basis at Pantai Hockey Stadium, Bukit Jalil, Tun Razak and at MBPJ Hockey Stadium.

SHC is essentially a social club where they meet regularly not just for weekly friendly hockey matches but also attend other charity games and hockey tournaments in other countries in the region. The love for hockey remains a strong bond for SHC whose average age is 45 years. Through many years of active participation, SHC has maintained close links with other similar-minded hockey clubs and associations involved in community-based veteran’s hockey.

PKAM has come a long way since being founded in early 2001. Through the tireless work of our members, volunteers and thanks to the constant and loyal support of our contributors, PKAM has grown into an internationally recognized charitable organization. PKAM has won the Europa Sustainability Awards in 2012 under the Welfare Category by the European Union Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI) council in recognition for its works to help impoverished communities. This success is closely matched by our Tax Exempt status from the Malaysian Inland Revenue Board. This also means that you get an official receipt from us allowing you to claim tax rebate.

PKAM & SHC graciously welcome individuals and corporate sponsors for the commemorative Souvenir Programme Advertisement for this event to support PKAM in its effort to help impoverished communities. We also accept generous donations from sponsors who wish to contribute via cash or kind.
