As part of our growing International Aid, we delivered a total of 27 bags of 20 kg Basmathi Rice worth 4,185 Yuan (approximately RM 2,202.65) and exercise books and pencils worth RM 604 recently in Tibet. This a Non-Tax Exempt Contributions collected from well wishers.
The breakdown of the delivery were as follows:
1. 15 bags of 20 kg Rice (300 kg in total) and all books and pencils were delivered to a Nomadic Residential School in Tibet which accommodates 300 kids. Pls see attached picture.
2. Balance of 12 bags of 20 kg Rice (240 kg in total) was distributed to several Monasteries in Tibet.
Thank you to the contributors and volunteers who helped haul these much needed goods into Tibet. They were much appreciated by the people living on the roof of the world.
