Food-Aid Programme

Food Aid Programme

The food-aid programme is the core charity activity for PKAM and this monthly outreach programme now operates in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan. Food provisions (valued at about RM110 per family) are distributed to about 100 families. The families who are vetted for the aid mainly consist of single parents or physically disabled parents with families. Also included in the
Food-Aid Programme are 17 indigenous (orang-asli) families in the Bukit Kemendul area, near Banting, Selangor who are given aid every other month. PKAM also administers this programme to two Tamil Schools in Negeri Sembilan and two orphanages in Selangor. In 2011 PKAM started Special Milk Aid. The are presently two boys who are receiving Pediasure Milk every month in this special aid programme. Both of them are bed ridden and are dependent on this milk for growth
